Founders
Carin Slader
Carin Slader began her career in computer programming and analysis at Boeing Commercial Airplane Group in Everett, Wa., after receiving a degree in business and finance from Western Washington University. She led Y2K conversion efforts at MetLife and Liberty Life in Greenville, SC, and has since focused her computer know-how in the field of healthcare. She is owner/consultant of Medical Data Services, where she specializes in working with small- to medium-sized businesses and their hardware/software/networking needs. Her specific strengths include defining client requirements, hardware and software installation and configuration, integration with existing systems, on-going maintenance and troubleshooting - including ISP issues, networking issues, secure wireless setup, remote access, virus cleaning, and spyware.
Robert Wolfe
Robert Wolfe has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University in Clemson, SC. Robert specializes in analyzing needs, configuring networks and providing ongoing technical support on an as-needed basis. He served as a presenter/technician for Right Source Inc., in Greenville, SC, for seven years before establishing MDS with Ms. Slader.
Robert has:
- traveled with the IBM Server Roadshow, demonstrating up to 20 servers with programs he designed and built
- redesigned 10 training facilities nationwide for Computer Associates, ensuring adequate networking and communication, along with continuing technical support
- set up a classroom of 75 PCs in a software training lab running CAD software for the American Institute of Architecture, including Internet access and a ghosting program to re-image workstations at the end of each day - all in two days
- and set up a 12-workstation network of Iconocast, including pressroom PCs, registration PCs, dialpad connection and a stockticker PC, as well as providing continuing technical support for the team.
